Description

Swimming Pool Epoxy SP135 is an industrial grade, 100% solid, two component (Part A and Part B) epoxy coating engineered for pool environments and other demanding concrete and fibreglass surfaces. Developed specifically for Australian conditions, this solvent free pool coating delivers a tough, high gloss finish with superior adhesion and outstanding resistance to pool chemicals, making it a reliable choice as a basecoat, primer or tinted concrete floor coating and sealer.

  • Resistant to pool chemicals, staining, spills and everyday wear
  • Excellent mechanical strength with superior adhesion to most substrates
  • Solvent free and odourless, with a durable, chalk resistant finish
  • Suitable for concrete and fibreglass surfaces
  • Tintable in all Australian Standard Colours
  • Compatible with non slip aggregates and decorative materials for a custom finish

Ideal for swimming pools, driveways, pathways, workshops and warehouses, SP135 is roller applied as a thin film to protect and beautify the surface. Aggregates can be broadcast into the wet coating to create a safe, non slip floor, while diluent can be added to adjust film thickness for a modern, hygienic and functional result.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about the Swimming Pool Epoxy.

What is Swimming Pool Epoxy used for?
It is a tinted, waterproofing epoxy made for surfaces that sit in constant water, such as ponds, water features, plunge pools and ice baths. It seals and colours the surface so it holds water and resists fading, chalking and staining under immersion.
What sizes and colours can I choose?
Swimming Pool Epoxy is supplied in 2 Ltr, 4 Ltr, 12 Ltr, 16 Ltr and 20 Ltr, with a choice of 8 colours from clean whites and pool blues through to greys and darker tones. Pick your size and colour before you add to cart.
How is it applied?
The surface must be clean, dry and properly prepared first. Mix the two parts at the stated ratio, then roll the tinted epoxy onto the floor and walls in even coats, working from the bottom up. Seal any seams and corners first so the finished surface is fully watertight.
Is the finish safe to sit underwater long term?
Yes. Once cured it is fully waterproof and built for permanent immersion. It resists pool chemicals, discolouration and chalking, which is why the same system is used for plunge pools and ponds.
How long before I can fill it with water?
It is touch dry in a few hours and can be recoated the same day, but allow the full cure before filling, usually around 5 to 7 days. Cooler conditions extend the time, so follow the data sheet.
Is this a complete kit?
This is the pond epoxy coating on its own. If you want the full ice bath or cold plunge system in one box, including seam putty and a clear chemical resistant topcoat, see our Ice Bath Conversion Kit.
