Every Shimicoat product is manufactured at our own facility in Bibra Lake, Western Australia, by a fully Australian owned company. We carry the certified Australian Made and Owned kangaroo logo, so you know exactly where your coating comes from.
Shimicoat flooring systems are certified food safe by HACCP International (certificate PE-200-SMI-R1-01). They are approved for use in food and beverage facilities that operate under a HACCP based food safety programme, including commercial kitchens and food processing plants.
Selected Shimicoat epoxy coatings are tested by the Australian Water Quality Centre and comply with AS/NZS 4020:2018, the Australian standard for products used in contact with drinking water. Certified drinking water safe for tanks, reservoirs and water features.
Shimicoat is a globally recognised ISO accredited manufacturer. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 by Bureau Veritas (certificate AU007035, JAS-ANZ accredited), covering the manufacture and supply of epoxy resins and coatings.
Registered with the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme under the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019 (registration NIC1012621). Formerly known as NICNAS, AICIS registration means every chemical we introduce to Australia is declared and compliant.
APAS (Australian Paint Approval Scheme) certification is currently underway. Once approved, Shimicoat coatings will be formally qualified for specification in hospitals, government buildings and public places.
