Marine flooring and coatings
Salt-water and UV-stable epoxy and polyaspartic coatings engineered for the harsh marine environment. Slip-resistant, waterproof and tough, for boat sheds, marinas, jetties and wet areas.

What this space demands from a floor
When it comes to flooring, marine applications have very stringent requirements. Salt-water resistance is a given, as well as being able to withstand other harsh environmental elements, constant moisture and UV exposure.
Why Shimicoat is the right fit
Salt-water and waterproof
Engineered to resist salt water and constant moisture, sealing and protecting the surface beneath.
UV stable
Polyaspartic top coats hold their colour outdoors and will not fade or chalk in the sun.
Slip resistant
Textured, slip-rated finishes keep wet decks, jetties and walkways safe.
Tough and abrasion resistant
Stands up to the harsh marine environment and heavy use.
Fuel and chemical resistant
Shrugs off fuels, oils and cleaning chemicals common around boats.
Australia-wide supply
Supplied and supported right across coastal Australia.

Is it suitable for outdoor and marine use?
Yes. Our polyaspartic coatings are highly UV stable and will not fade or separate outdoors, making them an excellent choice for exposed marine surfaces that face sun, salt and water.
Can it be made non-slip?
Yes. Where the surface requires slip resistance a non-slip additive is added to the top coats. We can offer R10, R11 and R12 slip ratings for commercial applications and wet areas. Please contact our technical team for further assistance.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. Our base coats have waterproofing properties, sealing the surface against constant moisture and splash.
How durable is the floor?
Very. When fully cured the surface can withstand the weight of trucks, 4WDs, forklifts and heavy vehicles with ease. These are engineered as long-term, high-durability floors.
Epoxy and polyaspartic flooring for marine
The marine environment is unforgiving. Salt water, constant moisture, UV exposure, fuels and heavy use all attack an ordinary floor. Shimicoat epoxy and polyaspartic coatings are engineered to take it, sealing and protecting surfaces around boat sheds, marinas, jetties and wet areas.
UV-stable polyaspartic top coats hold their colour in the sun without fading or chalking, waterproof base coats seal against salt water, and slip-resistant finishes keep wet decks and walkways safe. Shimicoat supplies and supports marine coatings right across coastal Australia.
