Description

Ocean Cast Clear Epoxy (DC140) is a premium two component, 100% solid casting and coating epoxy that cures to a crystal clear, high gloss, wet look finish. Solvent free and virtually odourless, it is engineered in Australia to deliver a tough, hardwearing surface that protects against stains, spills, weathering and everyday wear.

What is Ocean Cast Clear Epoxy used for?
It is a crystal clear, two part epoxy resin for ocean and wave style resin art and general casting and coating. It cures hard and glossy and stays clear, so the surface or material underneath shows through.
What sizes does it come in?
Ocean Cast Clear Epoxy is sold as a matched resin and hardener set in 0.75 Ltr, 1.5 Ltr, 3 Ltr, 6 Ltr, 15 Ltr and 30 Ltr. Choose the volume that suits your project on this page before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
Mix the resin and hardener at the ratio on the data sheet, stirring thoroughly. Pour or roll it on in thin even coats and pop any air bubbles with a heat gun or torch. Recoat within the stated window for a strong bond between coats.
How long does it take to cure?
It is touch dry in a few hours and ready to recoat the next day. Allow about 24 hours before light handling and around 7 days for full cure. Warmer weather speeds this up and cold weather slows it down.
Will it yellow over time?
It is a clear epoxy with good clarity, but like all epoxies it is not UV stable on its own and can amber under strong direct sun over time. For pieces in constant sunlight, finish with a UV stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat.
Is this a complete kit?
