Description

Fibreglass Epoxy is a premium two pack (Part A and Part B) laminating epoxy resin formulated for strong, permanent bonding to fibreglass. With its low to medium viscosity and 100% solid, solvent free composition, it is easy to apply and cures to a hard, durable clear coating. Developed for Australian conditions, this fibreglass epoxy resin doubles as a high performance concrete coating and protective sealer across many surfaces.

  • Excellent chemical, abrasion, wear and chalk resistance for long lasting protection.
  • Strong adhesion to concrete, timber, stone, glass, aluminium and most metals.
  • Solvent free and odourless, with a low to medium viscosity that brushes and rolls on easily.
  • Can be tinted to Australian Standard colours, or thinned with diluent to adjust film thickness.
  • Modifiable with fillers (wood powder, colloidal silica, silica sand) for filling, levelling and fairing.
  • Ideal moisture barrier for marine and industrial use.

Typical applications include marine surface repair, boat hulls and structures, fibreglass laminating, patching and repair, and clear topcoat sealing of floors and substrates. Note that this product may yellow under UV, so it is engineered for undercover surfaces.

Fibreglass Epoxy is available in a range of sizes from 0.75 litre up to 30 litre, so you can buy the right volume for small repairs or larger jobs. Choose your size above to get started.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about the Fiberglass Epoxy.

What is Fiberglass Epoxy used for?
It is a crystal clear, two part epoxy resin for wetting out and bonding fibreglass cloth and reinforcement. It cures hard and glossy and stays clear, so the surface or material underneath shows through.
What sizes does it come in?
Fiberglass Epoxy is sold as a matched resin and hardener set in 0.75 Ltr, 1.5 Ltr, 3 Ltr, 6 Ltr, 15 Ltr and 30 Ltr. Choose the volume that suits your project on this page before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
Mix the resin and hardener at the ratio on the data sheet, stirring thoroughly. Apply it to the surface and lay in the fibreglass cloth, wetting it out fully so there are no dry spots or trapped air. Recoat within the stated window for a strong bond between layers.
How long does it take to cure?
It is touch dry in a few hours and ready to recoat the next day. Allow about 24 hours before light handling and around 7 days for full strength and chemical cure. Warmer weather speeds this up and cold weather slows it down.
Will it yellow over time?
It is a clear epoxy with good clarity, but like all epoxies it is not UV stable on its own and can amber under strong direct sun over time. For work in constant sunlight, finish with a UV stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat.
Is this a complete kit?
This is the clear epoxy resin and hardener on its own, not a project kit. Add fibreglass cloth, fillers or tools separately, or browse our range for the items you need.
