Description

SHIMICOAT Fiberglass Clear Polyaspartic is a rapid curing, two component, solvent free aliphatic clear coating built as a tough, decorative finish for floors and other surfaces. This polyaspartic sealer is UV proof and non yellowing, making it ideal as a clear topcoat over concrete, epoxy flake systems and tiles. It is a proven, high performance concrete floor coating used across Australia by professional installers and DIY floor coaters alike.

  • Fast cure: return to service in around 4 hours, far quicker than standard epoxy.
  • Non yellowing and fully UV stable, so it holds its clarity and gloss outdoors and under direct sun.
  • Superior abrasion, scuff and chemical resistance compared with epoxy, urethane and acrylic.
  • Simple 1:1 mix ratio, 98% solids, zero solvent and zero VOC content.
  • Suitable for water immersion and waterproofing repairs on concrete and tiles.
  • Bonds well to concrete, tiles, epoxy flake coatings, steel, galvanised steel and aluminium.

Apply by roller, brush or squeegee as a clear finish coat over flake and colour quartz floors, garages, patios, automotive workshops, aircraft hangars, clean rooms and decorative architectural concrete. The two parts can be opened as needed and stored, with a shelf life of over 24 months.

What is Fiberglass Clear Polyaspartic used for?
It is a UV stable, crystal clear polyaspartic topcoat for sealing and protecting fibreglass and composite surfaces. It adds a tough, glossy clear finish that protects the surface without changing its look, and it will not yellow in sunlight.
What sizes does it come in?
Fiberglass Clear Polyaspartic is supplied as a matched two part set in 1Lt, 2 Lt, 4 Lt, 6 Lt, 8 Lt, 10 Lt, 20 Lt and 40 Lt. Choose the volume that suits your area or project before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
Mix Part A and Part B at the ratio on the data sheet, then roll on in thin even coats. Polyaspartic cures quickly, so work in sections and keep a wet edge. The surface beneath must be clean, dry and sound for a good bond.
Why choose clear polyaspartic over clear epoxy?
Unlike clear epoxy, polyaspartic is UV stable and will not amber under sunlight, so it is the better choice for outdoor surfaces and floors that get direct light. It also recoats and cures faster, which shortens the job.
How long does it take to cure?
It is touch dry within a couple of hours and you can usually recoat the same day. Light foot traffic is fine after about 24 hours and it reaches full chemical and wear resistance within a few days. Exact times depend on temperature, so check the data sheet.
Is this a complete kit?
