The SHIMICOAT Epoxy Flake Floor Fast Cure Complete Kit is a fast-curing, multi-layer epoxy floor coating system engineered for the Australian climate and designed for 24 hour completion and handover. This complete project kit delivers a decorative, hard-wearing flake floor that seals and transforms bare concrete, indoors or outdoors.

SHIMICOAT Flakes undergo accelerated weathering testing to evaluate colour stability and resistance to light-induced fading. Lightfastness is assessed through visual colour evaluation in accordance with ASTM D1729, supported by colour change measurements using the Delta E (ΔE) scale.

Lightfastness Performance: Most SHIMICOAT Flake colours achieve Good to Moderate lightfastness ratings under the tested conditions.

Actual colour stability may vary depending on colour selection, exposure conditions and installation environment.

It is a complete decorative epoxy flake floor system built around a fast cure for a quicker turnaround. It is ideal when you need the floor back in service sooner or when you are coating in cooler conditions.
What is included in the kit?
The kit includes a tinted prime coat, a tinted base coat in your chosen colour, decorative vinyl flakes in your selected blend, and a fast cure clear top coat. A step by step installation guide is included so you can complete the floor yourself.
How do I prepare and apply the fast cure system?
Grind or etch the concrete and make sure it is clean, dry and free of oil and dust. Roll on the prime coat and tinted base coat, broadcast the flakes into the wet base, then scrape back the excess and seal with the fast cure top coat. Work in planned sections because the fast cure shortens your working time.
How much does one kit cover?
Each kit covers 50 m², enough for a full double garage. Measure your area (length by width) and, for anything larger, simply add another kit. Coverage assumes properly prepared concrete, so rough or porous surfaces may use a little more.
How much faster is the recoat and how durable is the finish?
The fast cure top coat sets up more quickly than a standard epoxy, which shortens recoat and return to service times, especially in cooler weather. Once cured it gives a hard wearing, abrasion resistant surface that handles foot and vehicle traffic.
Is the fast cure kit suitable for DIY installers?
Yes, it is DIY friendly and the guide covers each step. Because the fast cure reduces your working window, prepare everything in advance and broadcast the flakes promptly so each coat goes down on time.
