What is the Epoxy Coving Complete Kit used for?
It forms a sanitary cove, the curved skirting where the floor meets the wall, so there are no sharp internal corners to trap dirt. This creates a smooth, hygienic junction that is easy to clean and wipe down.
What is included in the kit?
You get the epoxy resin in two parts plus a coving filler or aggregate that is blended in to form a stiff, trowellable coving compound. A step by step installation guide is included to show you how to shape the cove.
How do I mix and apply the coving compound?
Mix the epoxy parts at the stated ratio, then blend in the coving filler to make a firm, mouldable paste. Press it into the floor to wall junction and shape it into a smooth concave curve using a coving trowel before it begins to set.
How long does it take to cure?
The standard coving compound typically needs to set overnight before it is hard enough to sand and coat over. Cooler temperatures will slow the cure, so allow extra time in cold conditions.
Where can I use it and can I coat over it afterwards?
It suits kitchens, wet areas, food preparation spaces and any room needing hygienic, easy to clean wall to floor junctions. Once cured and abraded, the cove is coated over with the same epoxy or polyaspartic floor system so it becomes seamless with the floor.
How do the linear metre sizes work?
Coving is sold by the length of junction it will form, with Small covering 20 linear metres, Medium 40 and Large 80. Measure the total run of wall to floor junctions you want to cove and choose the size that covers that length.
