Designed and supplied in Australia by Shimicoat, this multi layer kit pairs a tinted base coat with metallic glitter and a crystal clear epoxy topcoat for a hard wearing, professional looking concrete floor coating and surface finish.

What is the Benchtop Epoxy Glitter Complete Kit used for?
It creates a decorative glitter epoxy finish for benchtops, not floors. It suits kitchen, bar, laundry and vanity tops where you want a glossy, sparkling, hard wearing surface.
What is included in the kit?
The kit includes a tinted base coat in your chosen basecoat colour, decorative glitter in your chosen glitter colour, a clear high gloss epoxy topcoat, surface prep and a step by step installation guide. It is a complete pack for resurfacing your benchtops.
How do I prepare the benchtop and apply it?
Clean and lightly sand the existing benchtop so the coating can bond, then mask the edges. You apply the tinted base coat, broadcast or suspend the glitter, and pour or roll the clear high gloss epoxy topcoat to seal and self level.
How is coverage worked out and what sizes are available?
It is sold by area in 5 or 10 square metre kits, so add up the surface area of your benchtops and choose the matching size. Allow a little extra for edges and any waterfall sides you plan to coat.
What does the finished benchtop look like and how durable is it?
You get a smooth, high gloss benchtop with a sparkling glitter effect set into a clear epoxy surface. The cured epoxy is hard, seamless and easy to wipe clean, and it resists everyday kitchen and bar use.
Can I use this on floors instead of benchtops?
No, this kit is formulated for benchtops and similar surfaces, not floors. For a glittery or decorative floor you should use one of our floor specific epoxy or flake kits.
