Frequently asked questions
The questions we get asked most about the Basic Spiked Shoes.
What are Basic Spiked Shoes used for?
They are spiked shoes that let you walk across a freshly poured resin, epoxy or self levelling floor without leaving marks. The spikes carry your weight on tiny points so the coating flows back behind you.
When do I wear them?
Put them on once the coating is down so you can move across the wet floor to broadcast flake, spread product or reach the far side. They are essential for any pour where you need to step onto the wet surface.
What sizes do they fit?
They strap over your normal footwear and adjust to fit a range of shoe and boot sizes. If you are unsure they will fit your boots, contact us before ordering.
Are they reusable?
Yes. Clean off any coating before it cures and they will last across many jobs. The spikes can be replaced on most models if they wear down.
Still unsure? Talk to a real installer — not a call centre.
