SHIMICOAT Flakes also known as “Chips or Flecks” are ideally suitable for Australian climate and are used to enhance all types of residential, commercial, and industrial surfaces, from garages, utility rooms, and basements to high-traffic corridors, restrooms, warehouses, and retail spaces.

Flakes composed of vinyl composite, resin materials, inorganic minerals, mica and various pigments. The product is compatible with most flooring systems such as Epoxy, Urethanes, Polyurea, Polyaspartic and Acrylate. The product is integrally pigmented and coloured with random in shapes and sizes to provide a natural and pleasant look in many design and appearances to match your décor.

What is Vinyl Flakes For Flake Flooring Modern Vinyl Flakes?
It is decorative vinyl flake in modern blends, used to create flake floor finishes. The flakes are broadcast into a wet base coat and sealed under a clear topcoat to give a textured, speckled look on garage, shed, patio and interior floors.
What colours can I choose?
This modern range comes in 24 blends, including accented options, so you can match a subtle look or a bold feature floor. Choose your colour on this page before adding to cart.
How much flake do I need?
It depends on how dense you want the coverage. A light, partial broadcast uses less, while a full broadcast where no base coat shows through uses more, generally around half a kilo to one kilo per square metre for a full cover. Order a little extra so you do not run short mid floor.
How are the flakes applied?
Roll on your coloured base coat, then broadcast the flakes evenly into the wet coating until you reach the look you want. Once cured, scrape back any sharp edges and loose flake, then seal with a clear topcoat to lock everything in.
Do I need anything else to do a floor?
