Description

UVthane PLUS Polyurethane is a high solid, high build two pack polyurethane topcoat from SHIMICOAT, engineered to give a smooth, hard wearing clear finish over epoxy, flake, metallic, concrete, timber and many other surfaces. This Australian polyurethane sealer produces a high gloss surface with strong UV resistance, excellent weathering and outstanding abrasion resistance, protecting your floors and assets for the long term.

Use it as a protective topcoat over epoxy flake floors, metallic floors and decorative concrete, or apply it direct to grey concrete, exposed aggregate, limestone, polished concrete, tiles, pavers, timber, metal and laminate. Its UV resistance, hardness and salt tolerance also make it a popular choice for marine, mining, oil and gas, agricultural and industrial applications.

What is UVthane PLUS Polyurethane used for?
It is a premium UV stable polyurethane concrete sealer that protects and finishes concrete, pavers and masonry. It guards against dust, water, stains and wear, and lifts the look of the surface.
What sizes can I choose?
UVthane PLUS Polyurethane comes in 1.15 Ltr, 2.3 Ltr, 4.6 Ltr, 7 Ltr, 15 Ltr and 23 Ltr. Select your size on this page before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Apply thin even coats by roller, brush or sprayer, usually two coats, allowing the recoat time on the data sheet between them. Thin coats give a better finish than one heavy coat.
How much will I need?
Coverage depends on how porous and textured the surface is. As a guide allow around 8 to 10 m² per litre per coat on smooth sealed concrete, and more on rough or bare surfaces. Measure your area and check the data sheet before ordering.
How long before I can use the area?
It is generally touch dry within a couple of hours and ready for light foot traffic the next day. Allow the full cure time on the data sheet before heavy traffic or wetting the surface.
Where can I use it?
It suits driveways, paths, patios, garage floors and other concrete and masonry surfaces. If you are sealing a specific surface and want to confirm it is suitable, contact us before you buy.
