SHIMICOAT RediLock Diamond Plates are quick-change grinding segments engineered for fast, easy surface preparation on hard-troweled concrete floors. Designed to suit a wide range of grinders, they deliver reliable, professional results on concrete floor preparation and coating projects across Australia.

  • Available in a wide range of grits, from coarse 16 grit through to fine 150 and 300 grit, plus PCDs for tough removal work.
  • Soft and medium bond options to match different concrete hardness and surface conditions.
  • Single and double segment designs for the right balance of speed and finish.
  • Fast, tool-free insert and removal for quick changeovers on the job.
  • Suited to grinding porous ceramic glues, terrazzo, and soft or rain-damaged concrete.
  • Strips back vinyl glues, paint, epoxy, and other coatings to leave a clean profile.

Use RediLock Diamond Plates to prepare and profile concrete before applying epoxy, polyaspartic, or other concrete floor coatings and sealers. They are ideal for grinding semi-polished concrete, removing old adhesives and coatings, and opening up the surface for a strong, lasting bond.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about the RediLock Diamond Plates.

What is RediLock Diamond Plates used for?
They are diamond tooling plates that fit grinding machines to prepare and profile concrete. They remove coatings, laitance and high spots and open up the surface so coatings bond properly.
What should I know before ordering?
Diamond plates are matched to your machine fitting and to the hardness of your concrete, with different grits for grinding versus finishing. Tell us your machine model and what you are removing and we will confirm the right plates.
Which grit do I need?
Coarser grits cut fast and remove heavy coatings or high spots, while finer grits smooth and refine the surface before coating or polishing. Most prep jobs start coarse and step up through finer grits.
How long do they last?
Life depends on how hard and abrasive the concrete is and how much material you remove. Harder concrete and heavy removal wear them faster. Keeping the machine moving evenly helps them last and cut consistently.
Do they suit DIY use?
They are professional tooling that fits hire and contractor grinders. If you are hiring a machine for a DIY floor, check which plate fitting it takes before ordering, or ask us and we will help.
