Description

SHIMI Coloured Quartz Granules are uniformly shaped and graded quartz aggregate, colour coated with an advanced resin system and high quality colourfast pigments. Broadcast into an epoxy floor coating, they create a hard wearing, slip resistant and decorative surface for commercial, industrial and residential floors across Australia.

Ideal for garage floors, interior flooring and commercial kitchens, as well as any space where slip resistance, hygiene and low maintenance matter. Apply by full broadcast into the wet epoxy, with a double broadcast where a fuller, more textured surface is required. Coverage rates vary with your preferred finish and application method.

What is Coloured Quartz Granules?
It is coloured quartz aggregate used to create hard wearing, slip resistant decorative floors. The granules are broadcast into a wet base coat and sealed under a clear topcoat for a natural, stone like finish.
What colours can I choose?
Coloured Quartz Granules comes in 6 quartz blends, so you can match a finish from soft neutrals to bolder tones. Select your colour on this page before adding to cart.
How much quartz do I need?
For a full broadcast where the quartz fully covers the base, allow roughly 4 to 6 kg per square metre depending on the look and texture you want. Order a little extra so you can broadcast generously and reclaim the excess.
How is it applied?
Roll on the base coat, then broadcast the quartz into the wet coating until the surface is fully covered. Once cured, vacuum off the loose granules and seal with a clear topcoat. A second sealer coat improves durability and locks the quartz in.
Do I need anything else?
