Pearlescent Powder Pigment

SHIMICOAT Pearlescent Powder Pigment is a mica based metallic pigment that blends into clear epoxy resin to create stunning, light reflecting metallic and marble effects on floors and benchtops across Australia. Each particle is coated with inorganic minerals so the finish delivers a high gloss, pearlescent sheen that mimics natural stone and never tarnishes or fades.

• Made from 100 percent naturally occurring inorganic compounds (mica, titanium dioxide, iron and tin oxides)
• Excellent chemical resistance: unaffected by acid or alkali at room temperature
• High temperature resistance up to 800 degrees Celsius, suitable for benchtops and underfloor heating
• Non bleed, non fading, non toxic, vegan and cruelty free
• Low dosage of only 1 to 2 percent, disperses rapidly into clear epoxy
• Easy to roll, brush or pour, so no two floors ever look exactly the same

Use the pigment as a mid coat: mix it into 100 percent solids clear epoxy and apply over a tinted basecoat such as Onyx Black or Pearl White. As a guide, one 250gr container blends into roughly 15 litres of clear epoxy to cover about 15 square metres at a rich 1000 micron build. It also works in countertops, wall coatings, inks, casting resin and arts and crafts. Always test your method before coating the full project.
