Description

Laminating Clear Epoxy LC160 is an industrial grade, two component (A and B) clear epoxy coating engineered for Australian conditions. This 100% solid, solvent free epoxy cures to a tough, crystal clear film with excellent adhesion to concrete, timber, aluminium and most metal surfaces, making it a versatile concrete floor coating, fibreglass laminating resin and clear casting material.

Use Laminating Clear Epoxy LC160 as a clear topcoat or binder on driveways, pathways, workshops and warehouses, as well as for fibreglass laminating and clear casting projects. Because it may yellow under UV exposure, it is best suited to undercover surfaces.

What is Laminating Clear Epoxy used for?
It is a crystal clear, two part epoxy resin for thin laminating and coating layers on timber, art and craft work. It cures hard and glossy and stays clear, so the surface or material underneath shows through.
What sizes does it come in?
Laminating Clear Epoxy is sold as a matched resin and hardener set in 0.75 Ltr, 1.5 Ltr, 3 Ltr, 6 Ltr, 15 Ltr and 30 Ltr. Choose the volume that suits your project on this page before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
Mix the resin and hardener at the ratio on the data sheet, stirring thoroughly. Pour or roll it on in thin even coats and pop any air bubbles with a heat gun or torch. Recoat within the stated window for a strong bond between coats.
How long does it take to cure?
It is touch dry in a few hours and ready to recoat the next day. Allow about 24 hours before light handling and around 7 days for full cure. Warmer weather speeds this up and cold weather slows it down.
Will it yellow over time?
It is a clear epoxy with good clarity, but like all epoxies it is not UV stable on its own and can amber under strong direct sun over time. For work in constant sunlight, finish with a UV stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat.
Is this a complete kit?
