Description

Groutex is a water-based grouting latex compound and bonding additive formulated for filling pores and re-grouting concrete surfaces during the polishing process. Used by polished concrete contractors across Australia, this ready to use latex polymer penetrates deeply to seal micropores and pinholes, helping you achieve a tight, high gloss concrete floor finish.

  • Water-based, environmentally preferred latex polymer with low odour
  • Ready to use as supplied, with no dilution or premixing required
  • Penetrates deeply to seal micropores, pin holes and small air pockets
  • High-strength binder with excellent film forming and pore filling
  • Bonds permanently to form an inherent part of the polished surface
  • Prepares ground concrete for a smooth, durable, high gloss finish

Apply Groutex once surface grinding is complete to seal and fill micropores before polishing. It is ideal for patching pin holes and air pockets in concrete floors, and works well as a pre-coat or basecoat latex in high performance polishing and surface coating applications.

Available in 5 litre and 20 litre sizes to suit small repairs through to large commercial floors. Order your Groutex Grouting Latex today, or contact our team for advice on the right size for your project.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about the Groutex.

What is Groutex used for?
It is a grout product used to fill, repair and finish joints and gaps in concrete and tiled surfaces. It cures to a hard, durable joint that stands up to traffic and cleaning.
What sizes are available?
Groutex comes in 5 Ltr and 20 Ltr. Choose the amount you need on this page before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
Mix to the consistency on the data sheet, then press it into clean, sound joints and tool off the surface. Clean any excess before it sets. Make sure the joints are free of dust and loose material first.
How long before it can take traffic?
Curing time depends on temperature and joint width. Allow the full cure on the data sheet before heavy traffic or washing the area. Cooler conditions extend the time.
Where can I use it?
It suits interior and exterior concrete and masonry joints. If you have a specific application in mind, contact us and we will confirm it is suitable before you buy.
