Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about the Epoxy Mortar Complete Kit.

What is the Epoxy Mortar Complete Kit used for?
It rebuilds, levels and repairs damaged or worn concrete such as potholes, spalled slabs, broken edges and fillets. The mortar is trowelled into the damaged area to restore a solid, level surface ready for further coating.
What is included in the kit?
You get the epoxy resin in two parts (Part A and Part B) plus a graded aggregate or filler that is blended in to form a trowellable mortar. A step by step installation guide is included so you can mix and apply it correctly.
How do I mix and apply the epoxy mortar?
Combine Part A and Part B at the stated ratio, then fold in the graded aggregate until you have a stiff, workable mortar. Press it firmly into the prepared and primed repair area and trowel it level, working within the pot life before the mix starts to set.
How long does it take to cure?
Standard cure epoxy mortar typically needs to be left to set overnight before it is hard enough to take traffic or be coated over. Cooler temperatures slow the cure, so allow extra time in cold conditions.
Where can I use it and can I coat over it afterwards?
It suits interior concrete repairs including floors, ramps, plinths and step edges. Once cured and lightly abraded, it can be coated over with epoxy or polyaspartic floor systems for a seamless finish.
Which size should I choose?
The kit is sold by Size in Small, Medium and Large to suit the volume of repair you need to fill. Estimate the depth, length and width of the damaged areas and pick the size that covers that volume, choosing up if you are unsure.
