Description

EpoMatte Matting Agent (EM655) is an easily dispersible inorganic metal complex additive for epoxy, acrylic, urethane and polyurea resin coatings. Stir it into any high gloss resin to reduce shine and create a refined satin or matte finish, while boosting abrasion resistance and adding a subtle micro texture. Made for Australian DIY and trade users wanting a softer, more durable look on their concrete floor coating or sealer.

Typical dosage ranges from 10g per litre to 20g per litre for epoxy, with significantly higher rates (up to around 250g per litre) for non epoxy resins to reach a deeper matte. Ideal for residential and commercial floors, benchtops and decorative surfaces where a low sheen, hygienic, hard wearing finish is preferred.

It is a matting agent that reduces gloss in epoxy and resin finishes. Mixing it in takes a glossy coating down to a satin or matte look without changing how it protects the surface.
What sizes are available?

How do I use it?
Stir it thoroughly into your clear topcoat at the rate on the data sheet, making sure it is fully dispersed. More matting agent gives a flatter finish, so test on a sample first to dial in the sheen you want.
Will it affect durability?
No. Used at the recommended rate it changes the look only, not the protection or wear resistance of the coating. Keep within the maximum dose so the coating still cures and performs as intended.
Is this a finished product on its own?
No. It is an additive that is mixed into a clear topcoat, not a coating you apply by itself.
