Description

SHIMICOAT Densilicate Densifier is a penetrating alkaline silicate concrete densifier and hardener, used by professionals throughout Australia to strengthen and dustproof concrete floors. Blended with specialty surfactants for deep surface penetration, it reacts with free lime in the slab to convert brittle material into hard calcium silicate, reducing porosity and producing a tough, dust-free finish.

What is Densilicate Densifier used for?
It is a concrete densifier and hardener that soaks into the surface and chemically hardens it. This reduces dusting, improves abrasion resistance and helps prepare the slab for polishing or coating.
What sizes are available?
Densilicate Densifier comes in 5 Ltr and 20 Ltr. Choose the amount you need on this page before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
Flood the clean concrete evenly and keep it wet for the dwell time on the data sheet, working the product over the surface. Remove any excess before it dries, then allow it to cure. The slab should be clean and free of coatings first.
How much will I need?
Coverage depends on how porous and absorbent the concrete is. As a guide allow several square metres per litre, with denser slabs covering more and porous slabs less. Check the data sheet for your surface.
Can I coat or polish over it afterwards?
Yes. Once cured it provides a harder, more wear resistant base that suits polishing or coating. Make sure the surface is clean and dry before applying any topcoat or polish.
