Description

Deep Cast Clear Epoxy is an industrial grade, two part (Part A and Part B), 100% solids clear epoxy designed for deep pour and pour on applications such as river tables, encapsulations and crystal clear topcoats. Developed for Australian conditions, this solvent free, low odour epoxy resin cures to a tough, high gloss, wet look finish that protects against stains, spills, wear and weathering.

  • Crystal clear, high build, high gloss and wet look finish
  • Excellent chemical, abrasion and chalk resistance
  • Strong adhesion to concrete, metal, timber, laminate, stone, granite and glass
  • Solvent free and low odour for safer indoor use
  • Part A is high viscosity, Part B is low viscosity for a controlled pour
  • Can be applied thick as a deep pour or thinned for roller and brush coats

Ideal for river tables, timber and resin art, benchtops, encapsulated objects and decorative pour on surfaces. The clear epoxy also works as a protective topcoat sealer over prepared substrates, and the coating thickness can be reduced by adding a compatible diluent for thin film roller or brush application.

Available in 2, 4, 10, 20 and 40 litre sizes to suit small projects through to large commercial pours. Choose the size that matches your job and order online today.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about the Deep Cast Clear Epoxy.

What is Deep Cast Clear Epoxy used for?
It is a crystal clear, two part epoxy resin for deep pour castings such as river tables and thick resin art. It cures hard and glossy and stays clear, so the surface or material underneath shows through.
What sizes does it come in?
Deep Cast Clear Epoxy is sold as a matched resin and hardener set in 2 Ltr, 4 Ltr, 10 Ltr, 20 Ltr and 40 Ltr. Choose the volume that suits your project on this page before adding to cart.
How thick a pour can I do?
This is a deep pour casting resin, so it can be poured in thicker layers than a standard coating epoxy without overheating. Follow the maximum pour depth and pour timing on the data sheet, and for very deep work build it up in stages.
How long does it take to cure?
It is touch dry in a few hours and ready to recoat the next day. Allow about 24 hours before light handling and around 7 days for full cure, with deep pours taking longer. Warmer weather speeds this up and cold weather slows it down.
Will it yellow over time?
It is a clear epoxy with good clarity, but like all epoxies it is not UV stable on its own and can amber under strong direct sun over time. For pieces in constant sunlight, finish with a UV stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat.
Is this a complete kit?
This is the clear epoxy resin and hardener on its own, not a project kit. Add any pigments, fillers or tools you need separately, or browse our DIY Complete Kits for ready matched systems.
