Description

SHIMICOAT Clear Marine Polyaspartic is a rapid curing, two component, solvent free aliphatic clear coating that delivers a tough, non-yellowing finish for floors and protective surfaces across Australia. As a high performance alternative to standard epoxy and polyurethane, this polyaspartic concrete floor coating and sealer stays UV stable and crystal clear, making it ideal for areas exposed to direct sunlight and water immersion.

Use it as a clear topcoat over epoxy flake and colour quartz floors, or apply it directly to concrete, tiles, timber, metal and glass. It suits garage and warehouse floors, marine and waterproofing repairs, automotive workshops, aircraft hangars and decorative architectural concrete. It can be rolled, brushed or applied by squeegee, and is classed as non dangerous goods for transport.

Supplied as two parts (A and B) with a shelf life of over 24 months once opened, and tintable in all Australian Standard colours. Available in sizes from 1 litre up to 40 litres. What is Clear Marine Polyaspartic used for?
It is a UV stable, crystal clear polyaspartic topcoat for marine and wet environments needing UV stability and water resistance. It adds a tough, glossy clear finish that protects the surface without changing its look, and it will not yellow in sunlight.
What sizes does it come in?
Clear Marine Polyaspartic is supplied as a matched two part set in 1Lt, 2 Lt, 4 Lt, 6 Lt, 8 Lt, 10 Lt, 20 Lt and 40 Lt. Choose the volume that suits your area or project before adding to cart.
How is it applied?
Mix Part A and Part B at the ratio on the data sheet, then roll on in thin even coats. Polyaspartic cures quickly, so work in sections and keep a wet edge. The surface beneath must be clean, dry and sound for a good bond.
Why choose clear polyaspartic over clear epoxy?
Unlike clear epoxy, polyaspartic is UV stable and will not amber under sunlight, so it is the better choice for outdoor surfaces and floors that get direct light. It also recoats and cures faster, which shortens the job.
How long does it take to cure?
It is touch dry within a couple of hours and you can usually recoat the same day. Light foot traffic is fine after about 24 hours and it reaches full chemical and wear resistance within a few days. Exact times depend on temperature, so check the data sheet.
Is this a complete kit?
