Description

Carbosil Patch & Repair Complete Kit is a viscosifying fumed silica (also known as Aerosil) used as a resin thickener and rheology modifier for epoxy and other resin systems. Add it to your epoxy to create a smooth, non-sagging, high-strength mixture that holds its shape on vertical and overhead surfaces, with thixotropic, shear-thinning behaviour that makes the blend easy to trowel, screed and apply across Australia.

What is the Carbosil Patch & Repair Complete Kit used for?
It makes a lightweight, trowellable epoxy patching paste for filling holes, divots and surface defects in concrete before coating. The Carbosil filler keeps the paste easy to spread and sand back smooth.
What is included in the kit?
You get the epoxy resin in two parts plus the named Carbosil lightweight filler powder that is blended in to make the patching paste. A step by step installation guide is included to help you mix and apply it.
How do I mix and apply the Carbosil patching paste?
Mix the epoxy parts at the stated ratio, then stir in the Carbosil powder until you reach a smooth, trowellable paste. Press it into the hole or divot and trowel it flush, then sand it back level once cured.
How long does it take to cure?
The patching paste typically needs to be left to cure before it can be sanded and coated, often overnight depending on temperature. Cooler conditions will extend the cure time.
Where can I use it and can I coat over it afterwards?
It is ideal for prepping interior concrete floors and surfaces ahead of an epoxy or polyaspartic coating. Once cured and sanded smooth, it is designed to be coated over so the repair blends into the finished floor.
Which size should I choose?
The kit is sold by Size in Mini, Small, Medium and Extra Large to suit how much patching you have to do. Choose Mini for a few small touch ups and a larger size for whole floor preparation.
