The Benchtop Epoxy Flake Complete Kit is an all in one decorative concrete coating system for transforming kitchen, laundry and bathroom benchtops with a hard wearing flake finish. This Australian made kit combines a prime coat epoxy, base coat epoxy, vinyl flake blend and a crystal clear UV resistant polyurethane topcoat, so you get everything needed for a durable multi layer sealer in one box.

How do I prepare the surface and apply the coating?
Clean and lightly sand the existing benchtop so the coating can grip, then mask off the edges and surrounds. Roll or brush on the prime coat and tinted base coat, broadcast the flakes over the wet base, scrape back the excess once cured, then seal with the clear top coat.
What sizes are available and how much does the kit cover?
The kit comes in 5 square metre and 10 square metre options and is sold by surface area. Measure the total top area you want to coat and pick the size that covers it, allowing a little extra for edges and splashbacks.
How durable and heat resistant is the finished benchtop?
The flake system creates a tough, sealed surface that resists everyday wear, moisture and staining. As with any benchtop coating, use boards and trivets rather than placing hot pans directly on the surface.
Can a beginner achieve a smooth benchtop finish?
