Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about the Resin Bound Permeable Paving.

What is Resin Bound Permeable Paving?
It is a permeable resin bound paving system where natural stone aggregate is mixed with a clear binder and trowelled down to a smooth, seamless surface. Water drains straight through, so it suits driveways, paths, pool surrounds and tree surrounds.
What sizes and colours can I choose?
It is supplied to cover 1 sqm, 5 sqm, 15 sqm, 40 sqm, 60 sqm and 90 sqm, in 13 natural stone blends from granites to marbles. Choose your area and colour on this page before adding to cart. Note this product has a lead time, shown at checkout.
How is it installed?
The base must be sound and free draining, such as open graded asphalt or permeable concrete. The stone and binder are mixed in a forced action mixer, spread over the base and trowelled smooth, then left to cure. Working time is limited once mixed, so prepare everything first.
How much do I need?
Order to match your measured area in square metres. The depth of the stone affects how far it goes, so measure length by width and check the recommended laying depth before ordering. Contact us if you want help sizing a larger job.
Why is it a 4 week lead time?
Resin bound stone is made to order in your chosen blend, which is why it carries a lead time rather than shipping straight away. You acknowledge the lead time when you order so there are no surprises on delivery.
